Giselle Bouclé

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Belmont University, majoring in Commercial Music Percussion and graduating in 2024. In my time at Belmont, I was a percussionist and drummer in four ensembles: World Percussion, Jazz Band 1, Pops, and Jazz String Septet, and I was televised in Christmas at Belmont as part of the first two ensembles. I studied with many accomplished drummers such as Derico Watson (Victor Wooten), Nate Felty (Zach Top), and Todd London, the head of the commercial drumming faculty at Belmont. While in college, I was also in two of my own bands, The Fangs and Mary and the Matrix, in which I was active in songwriting, booking, and content creation. Aside from commercial music, I also was fortunate to have had a mentorship with accomplished Nashville jazz drummer Sofia Goodman, in which I helped with rehearsals and jazz festival booking.

Right now I am the touring drummer for two artists, Joy Oladokun and Sydney Rose. In my last 5 years in Nashville, I've had the privilege to play for many talented local artists such as Annie DiRusso, Hana Eid, Tiffany Johnson, Izzy Mahoubi, Hot Head Wave, Stefanie Joyce, James Satterwhite, Laken Campo, Sofie Perez, Annie Leppert, Alysia Josephine, and Brody Schenk to name a few. I've played many iconic Nashville venues like Exit/In, The Basement East, The OG Basement, Eastside Bowl, City Winery, The End, The Eastroom, The Cobra, Drkmttr, UpDown, Electric Jane, and Cafe Coco. I've also actively been doing session work, recording for artists like Grace Lee, Laken Campo, Sofie Perez, Brody Schenk, and Annie Leppert at studios like Oceanway and Starstruck on Music Row.

Live Music is the backbone of community and culture in Nashville, and I will always be grateful to all of the people listed above for allowing me to contribute to their art!
